but what if they have their fun nd then the girl gets pregnant... what are ur thoughts on abortion? and do u think that the christian/catholic teachings r a little too extreme? i noe ur not religious at all so i just want to hear ur viewpoints! :)

If you want to have responsibly have sex, and you know that one of you doesn’t want a baby(and/or an STD!), then wrap that shit up with a condom. Pre-marital sex doesn’t have to be dumb, irresponsible sex.

Abortion is a touchy topic for me. There are definitely some cases where I feel like the woman shouldn’t have to go through the whole giving-birth process(rape is the most prominent example that comes to mind). But I also hate that abortion seems like a “Get out of jail free” card. Sometimes when people, through their own decisions, get pregnant, their first instinct is to immediately abort the baby. I really really dislike that. And as abortion methods start to get easier and simpler, like taking a pill or a drug, I feel like it’s heading down a path where abortion becomes a common practice.

It shouldn’t be a common practice. It should be a last resort, a terrible, but necessary decision made by someone who was/will be a victim of childbirth. In my opinion anywho.

I can’t make any judgment to catholic/christian teachings, because it’s all up to interpretation. Even priests have their own biases and opinions when it comes to preaching the teachings of the church. In any religion, there will be some extreme beliefs and teachings.

The way I interpret it though is that the Catholic Church preaches love and acceptance of every single human being. To me, that’s the main gist of their teachings. And I’m cool with that, I accept that, and I live by that, despite the fact that I don’t believe in a specific god or higher power.

So ummm yeah. Thank you for these questions, they’re interesting.
